The NGO Work Permit is for foreign nationals employed by non-governmental organizations operating in Ethiopia. This permit allows them to work and reside in Ethiopia for the duration of their contract with the NGO.

 

Requirements

  • Valid 6 month passport of the applicant
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs
  • Employment contract or appointment letter from the NGO
  • Proof of the NGO’s registration and authorization to operate in Ethiopia
  • Police clearance certificate from the applicant’s country of origin
  • Proof of relevant qualifications and experience
  • Payment of the applicable work permit fee
  • Additional documents, if requested by immigration authorities
  • Completed work permit application form
