High-ranking officials of the Immigration and Citizenship Service conducted an evaluation of the digitalization works currently being implemented at the institution
Senior officials of the Immigration and Citizenship Service (ICS), including the Director General, Ms. Selamawit Dawit, have evaluated the ongoing digitalization initiatives being implemented by the institution.
The evaluation primarily focused on presenting and addressing key ideas regarding the information and design to be included in the upcoming Golden ID Card, the institution’s new portal system, and the preparatory work required to launch the E-GATE service, which will enable the processing of inbound and outbound travelers using only fingerprints.
During the review, the Director General, Ms. Selamawit Dawit, noted that the continuous digitalization efforts are significantly contributing to realizing customer satisfaction by improving the speed and quality of passport, visa, and Origin of Ethiopian ID card services, as well as regulatory operations.
Ms. Selamawit further urged that the new digitalization projects be finalized swiftly and put into operation without delay.
